​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Commission for Economic Policy (ECON) coordinates ECON members' input on issues related to economic and industrial policy, such as competition and State Aid policy, public procurement, SME policy and entrepreneurship, economic governance and the European Semester, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the internal market and the digital single market. Its activities also encompass economic and monetary policy, taxation policy, international trade and tariffs (including WTO issues) and local/regional finances.

Über die Fachkommission ECON

Das Sekretariat der Fachkommission ECON ist außerdem für die Verleihung der Auszeichnung Europäische Unternehmerregion (EER) verantwortlich, mit der EU-Regionen mit der überzeugendsten und weitsichtigsten Vision und einem innovativen unternehmerischen Strategieplan geehrt werden.

Die Fachgruppe ECON betreut zudem das Netzwerk regionaler Hubs zur Bewertung der Durchführung der EU-Politik (RegHub). RegHub ist eine Plattform zur Einbindung lokaler und regionaler Akteure, auf der deren Erfahrungen mit der Umsetzung der EU-Politik in Form von Konsultationen erfasst werden.

Die Fachkommission ECON verwaltet die Breitbandplattform, eine gemeinsame Initiative des Europäischen Ausschusses der Regionen (AdR) und der Europäischen Kommission, die dazu beitragen soll, Hochgeschwindigkeitsinternet in allen europäischen Regionen zu verbreiten.

Die Fachkommission ECON spielt zudem eine führende und koordinierende Rolle in den Beziehungen zwischen dem AdR und der Europäischen Investitionsbank (EIB-Gruppe), die ein breites Spektrum von Maßnahmen und Politikbereichen umfassen.

Die wichtigsten zu Europa 2020 und zum Europäischen Semester von der Monitoringplattform durchgeführten Analysen und Konsultationen sind über unsere Archivseite abrufbar.
