This is the latest edition of the Green Deal Funding Alert. It is a monthly newsletter that keeps you informed about funding opportunities and initiatives that support sustainable development and transition to climate neutrality. Read on to find out how your local government can benefit from these initiatives!

1. European Natura 2000 Award

Are you managing a Natura 2000 site? Are you helping to protect endangered habitats and species across the European Union?

Apply now for the European Natura 2000 Award and receive the recognition you deserve!

Winners will:

  • get recognition for their work: the award will showcase your success story and provide inspiration for others who manage and promote Natura 2000 sites;
  • Increase their media reach: in addition to promotion on Natura 2000 Awards channels, which results in much greater media attention and increased stakeholder awareness, finalists will be offered professional training in social media communications, which they can use both to promote the Award and in their day‑to‑day activities. They will also receive tailor-made visuals that they can use to communicate to their own networks;
  • receive benefits for ongoing activities: winners receive a small financial prize to help support their future conservation efforts and, of course, a trophy and a certificate.
All the information on Natura 2000 award is available here. Apply now to receive the application form.

Deadline: 12 October 2023.
