Key representatives of the Circular
Plastics Alliance (CPA), a stakeholder-driven initiative launched and
supported by the European Commission to boost plastics recycling and recycled
plastics in Europe, and the European
Plastics Pact, a coalition of front-running European companies and
governments to accelerate the transition to a circular plastics economy, will
meet again to discuss the progress made since their last meeting on 12 January
and the work done on some joint actions they had agree to pursue. The meeting
will be opened by the European Commission (DG GROW and DG ENV), and will
include collective discussions around the following questions: what are the
trends that will impact the future of plastics in the coming few years? What
joint actions should the CPA and the Pact continue doing or start doing? What
should be delivered and by when?
