3rd ENVE Commission meeting in Brussels (VIDEOCONFERENCE)

IN LIGHT OF THE CURRENT COVID-19 SITUATION, THE MEETING WILL BE HELD BY VIDEOCONFERENCE ONLY. NO PARTICIPATION WILL BE POSSIBLE AT THE COR PREMISES

The ENVE commission meeting foresees a debate with Virginius Sinkevičius, EU Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries on the reviewed 2020 Work Programme and on the Green Recovery Plan (tbc).

The ENVE commission meeting will also adopt the following opinions:

• Opinion on Evaluation of the Water Framework Directive and the Floods Directive, Piotr CAŁBECKI (PL/EPP);

• Opinion on The Future of EU Clean Air policy in the framework of the zero-pollution ambition, János Ádám KARÁCSONY (HU/EPP);

• Opinion on Towards a Roadmap for Clean Hydrogen – the contribution of local and regional authorities to a climate-neutral Europe, Birgit HONÉ (DE/PES);

• Opinion on European Climate Law: enshrining the 2050 climate neutrality objective, Juan Manuel MORENO BONILLA (ES/EPP);

• Opinion on The European Climate Pact, Rafał Kazimierz TRZASKOWSKI (PL/EPP).

Followed by an exchange of views of the opinion on:

• Own-initiative opinion on New Circular Economy Action Plan, Tjisse STELPSTRA (NL/ECR).
