The 12th edition of the Week of Innovative Regions in Europe (WIRE) will be held at Université Paris-Saclay under the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union on 11, 12 & 13 May 2022. The theme of this year's edition is: "Towards a leading Europe in breakthrough innovation: unleashing the potential of regions". The purpose of this conference is to discuss the pratices, challenges and opportunities in breakthrough innovation and research throughout European regions. EU, national and regional policymakers, representatives of research institutes and universities, and companies will all come together to provide stakeholders in breakthrough innovation with an overview of the tools, challenges, and prospects for the future.
The European Committee of the Regions is member of the event's steering board and CoR members Christophe Clergeau, Markku Markkula and Kieran McCarthy will take the floor in different sessions during the three days.
