The European Committee of the Regions (CoR) is drafting an opinion on "Building a Stronger Europe: the role of youth, education and culture policies" with rapporteur Ms Gillian Ford (UK/EA), Member of London Borough of Havering.
The rapporteur on the opinion, Ms Gillian Ford (UK/EA) would be happy to meet with representatives of local and regional associations and other stakeholders for a consultation and an exchange of views on the subject of this CoR Opinion.
The following proposals by the European Commission are concerned:
COMMUNICATION on Building a stronger Europe: the role of youth, education and culture policies COM (2018) 268 final
and
PROPOSALS FOR COUNCIL RECOMMENDATIONS on
- promoting automatic mutual recognition of higher education and upper secondary education diplomas and the outcomes of learning periods abroad COM (2018) 270,
- High Quality Early Childhood Education and Care Systems COM (2018) 271, and
- on a comprehensive approach to the teaching and learning of languages COM (2018) 272.
The consultation will take place on:
Monday 16 July 2018 between 11.00 am and 1.00 pm, in the Committee of the Regions main building (Rue Belliard 99-101, B-1040 Brussels) Room JDE 51.
The rapporteur is very keen to hear stakeholders views during the meeting.
