In this stakeholder conference, the European Commission will present and discuss with the stakeholders the main findings of the evaluative study and the Open Public Consultation on the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive.

The European Commission looks forward to hosting a broad variety of stakeholders, representing NGOs, Member States, Local and Regional Authorities, industry and institutions.

Organizing this conference at the premises of the European Committee of the Regions is a privilege, as the municipalities and regions are the first in line when it comes to implementing this important environmental directive.

As part of the conference, several external speakers will provide a variety of perspectives on the Directive and provide insights into what has worked in the past and what not. The purpose of this conference is to validate the preliminary findings and to discuss where we go from here.
