The CoR Commission for Social Policy, Education, Employment, Research and Culture (SEDEC) will hold its 14th  meeting on 8 June 2017.
 
The SEDEC members will discuss and adopt three opinions:
• Coordination of Social Security Systems (Ulrike HILLER (DE/PES))
• Building a European Data Economy (Kieran MCCARTHY (IE/EA)
• Local and Regional Dimension of Horizon 2020 and the New Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (Christophe CLERGEAU (FR/PES)

 

A general exploratory debate will be held on the opinion on the European Pillar of Social Rights and reflection paper on the social dimension of Europe, Rapporteur general Mauro D'ATTIS (EPP/IT).

A debate on severe exploitation of workers will also take place during the meeting.
