​​ As announced in the ARLEM Newsletter Nr. 18, the European Week of Regions and Cities held jointly by the European Commission and the Committee of the Regions will include a workshop on "Funding for local and regional authorities in Mediterranean partner countries". It will take place on Tuesday, 12 October, from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.

Held at the beginning of the EU's new long-term budget period, the workshop will provide an update on the funding available to local and regional authorities and will offer an exchange of ideas with representatives of the European Commission and the EIB and the author of the publication EU financial assistance available to local and regional authorities in Mediterranean partner countries, to be launched at the session.

The CoR will publish a guide on funding for local and regional authorities in Mediterranean partner countries in English, French and Arabic by the end of this year.
