Territorial Dimension and Integrated Territorial Instruments

The seminar is organised by the Union of Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic and the Czech national delegation in the CoR during the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU under the patronage of the Deputy minister of the Czech ministry for Regional Development and CoR member Mr. Radim Sršeň.

Nowadays on EU level, debate on the composition of the future Cohesion policy after 2027 is starting. This is obvious from Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms Elisa Ferreira's plan to establish the High level Group for Reflection of the Cohesion policy, restoration of the Cohesion Alliance etc.

Representatives of the Czech local and regional authorities would like to contribute to these discussions based on our experience inasmuch as the implementation of the Integrated territorial instruments in Czech Republic is almost a success story. The focus of this seminar is to present the implementation of the EU Cohesion policy and its territorial dimension by using Integrated territorial Instruments (ITI and CLLD) in the Czech Republic, to point out the problematic aspects and to stress the high potential of this approach in the future composition of the Cohesion policy of the EU.

The seminar is organised with the contribution of the national budget of the Czech Republic from the programme of the Ministry for Regional Development.
