IN LIGHT OF THE CURRENT COVID-19 SITUATION, THE MEETING WILL BE HELD BY VIDEOCONFERENCE ONLY.
The ENVE commission meeting taking place on 26 March 2021 foresees two Green Debates:
- The first one will focus on The Green Recovery, with the participation of Arantxa TAPIA, Regions4 President and Minister for Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of Basque Country, Arno BONTE, Member of European Regional Executive Committee, ICLEI – Local governments for sustainability and Vice-Mayor of Rotterdam, as well as Eulalia RUBIO, Senior Research Fellow at the Jacques Delors Institute.
- The second debate will be dedicated to Climate action in the global context: on the road to Glasgow, with the participation of MEP Maria SPYRAKI (EL/EPP), Co-chair of the Intergroup Climate change, biodiversity and sustainable development, James GRABERT, Director Mitigation and Acting Director Communication and Engagement at UNFCCC, Kirsten DUNLOP, Chief Executive Officer at Climate-KIC, and Dimitrios ZEVGOLIS, Deputy Head of International Relations Unit, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to the UN Climate Change Convention, DG CLIMA, European Commission.
The ENVE commission meeting will also adopt the following draft opinions:
