За да осигури оптимална информационна подкрепа за нашите докладчици и членове, Европейският комитет на регионите (КР) може да поиска помощ от външни експерти за извършване на научни проучвания по определени теми от интерес.

В допълнение към тези проучвания, публикувани от КР, Европейската парламентарна служба за научни изследвания (EPRS) също изготвя брифинги и анализи във връзка с консултативната работа на КР и я подкрепя по силата на Споразумението за сътрудничество между Европейския комитет на регионите и Европейския парламент от 5 февруари 2014 г.
