Ris3, Culture and Creative Industries: an opportunity to articulate the territories  
The European Commission, as well as several external reports in this respect, acknowledge the economic value of cultural and creative industries, as it is one of the strongest and resilient economic sectors in this period of economic crisis. Cultural and Creative Industries contribute 4.2% of GDP and more than 7 million jobs, 3.3% of the total in Europe.

For the sustainability and the effectiveness, it is key to align the strategic regional agendas (regional development, culture, innovation, business and economic development, access to finance, etc.), in line with the Smart Specialisation guidance.

The objective of the local event/citizensdialogue is focus on the potential of the culture and creative industries for the regional development, and the methology and the planification, in line with the regionals strategies and the Managing Authorities under the RIS3 guidance, and the territorial articulation. Under the EU dimension, the starting point is the INTERREG Europe CREADIS3 project actions and TALIA project, and the potential of the network Regional Initiative for Culture and Creative network/RICC).

Target audience: local, regional and european stakeholders, and regional policy makers, and Managing Authorities​
