EuroPCom 2012: Public communication strengthens links with citizens
EuroPCom

The third EuroPCom European conference on public communication will take place on 17 and 18 October 2012. 600 hundred communication managers and experts will meet in Brussels to discuss how citizens' trust in government, at the EU and other levels, can be restored.

The programme for EuroPCom 2012 features debates, workshops and lectures on public opinion in Europe, social media and web communication, EU communication and dialogue with specific target groups such as young people, older people and migrants. More than 50 speakers from all over Europe will set out their visions of public communication and present best practices from European cities, regions and Member States. Speakers include Ramón Luis Valcárcel Siso, the new president of the Committee of the Regions (CoR), and Neelie Kroes, Vice-President of the European Commission.

In recent years, EuroPCom has developed into the key meeting place for European public communicators. It is a CoR initiative, organised in cooperation with the European Parliament, the Council of the EU, the Cypriot EU presidency and the European Commission.

The full conference programme and online registration form are available on the EuroPCom website at http://cor.europa.eu/europcom.
