Preparations for the 2011 Open Days – European Week of Regions and Cities, are gearing up this spring, prior to registration opening in the summer. So far thirteen British partners have announced events in Brussels and their regions, where Europe will be presented with a regional dimension and regions with a European dimension. If you also want to organise a European-themed event for the Open Days, you have until 27 May to send us your ideas.
This year too, the United Kingdom's cities and regions are very visibly involved in the Open Days, and many of them will be demonstrating their commitment to Europe this October. Cornwall, Devon, East of England, East of Scotland, London, Liverpool, Merseyside, North West England, Northern Ireland, Dumfries and Galloway, the Shetland Islands, Southern England and Wales will all come together in Brussels from 10 to 13 October.
To share this commitment at local and regional level, each of the above partners will organise a European event locally during the month of October.Europe is coming to you, with conferences, exhibitions and competitions. If you also want to be involved in these activities during the European Week of Regions and Cities, let us know before 27 May.
