The EU's Assembly of Regional and Local Representatives
National delegation

The Dutch delegation consists of 12 CoR members and an equivalent number of alternates.  Its role is to coordinate the work of the members during CoR plenary sessions and to distribute relevant information.

Dutch CoR members are regional and local representatives with an electoral mandate at home. They are appointed members of the CoR for a five-year term by the Council of the EU at the proposal of the national government.

Their role is two-fold:
  • to raise the concerns of their regions and local authorities at EU level
  • to keep their citizens informed about the EU developments
